Solutions In Sight - Lens Tint Sampler
Optometrists are often asked: "Should I have my glasses tinted for working at my computer?"
Lens tints favored by VDT operators alter the colors seen on the screen, or the brightness of the display, or both. They can also filter out selected colors.
The most common eyeglass tints are gray and pink, which are favored because they do not markedly distort colors. Neutral gray subdues all colors equally. The blue end of the spectrum, which some people find unpleasant, can be selectively filtered with the pink tint.
Whether or not tinted lenses will make you feel more comfortable at your computer work station is a question that only you can answer. With that in mind, every Solutions In Sight system contains a sample of both gray and pink filters. The 150-page reference manual contains complete instructions on how to try each tint sampler.
Should you decide that you prefer tinted lenses for VDT work, you can simply take the Solutions in Sight tint sample you've selected with you when you visit your optometrist, who can provide you with a corresponding tint on your eyewear.
